The Rata Tree And The Quiz ( Day 2 )

Here is my Day 3 at camp that is called the Rata tree
 and the Quiz and there are also photos of the Rata tree.I hope you like it. :-)

                          The Rata Tree  

    The Rata tree is aged from 800-1,000 years old it is 13 meters round the base of the tree. I know that because we all went around the tree with all of the girls and then all of the boys did the same holding hands. ( “Oh” and I kissed it )The rata tree is really really tall. When we were visiting the big tree some of us got to climb it and go through to the other side of the tree when we climbed it. Then we got out of the tree  and had biscuits and apples for morning tea and a lollie each. Then we went back to the vans and head back to camp.

The Quizz

Tonight we are having a quizz night and we will have to work with our camp groups. So then that means we have to challenge 5 camp groups and six including our team. So this is prob going to be a hard Quizz But I can do it. So here we are sitting on the sets around the table waiting for the teacher to come in the door with the sheet for the Quizz. Yayyyy!! the teacher is here and we have finally started the Quizz. And now the Quizz is nearly over and when its over we go to bed sadly. :-( But that's alright because there's always another day to come. :-)

My Camp Reflection

Reflection for Camp

My goal for camp was to learn lots of things and have cool experiences.  As well as being able to complete the challenges & most of all !!!!!!HAVE FUN!!!!!!.

I achieved this because I worked hard and complete all of the challenges

and I had fun the whole time.

Something I was pleased with was being able to have such a great experience  and doing everything well in everything I did because whenever I did something I was always doing my best and being really proud of myself and getting things done.  

I really enjoyed learning because when we went to the kiwi place and saw the kiwi it was making a clicking noise with its beak. So the lady said that it makes the clicking noise because it is angry. And I didn't know that. And I also learnt lots lots lots more. That was a really interesting fact about the Kiwi.

Something I found hard was doing all the walks because on every walk my legs hurt and that was really hard. I also found flipping from the top of the rope wall hard.

Something that made me think was if I should do the rope challenge or not but I did in the end. But that was a hard decision because I was really cold and Miss H said if you are cold go back to camp but it wasn't cold in the caves it was really warm.

· My top 5 favourite things about camp were:

Favourite Things.	Reason Why
1. Caving.	Because I have never been in a cave before and I saw glow worms and wetas for the first time and it was !!!AWESOME!!! FUN
2. Seeing the waterfalls.	Seeing the waterfalls is so so cool because when the water comes down it sounds so cool and it just looks so powerful.
3. Amazing Race	I enjoyed the amazing race because it was really fun when we were working as a team to win. But overall we came 2nd which is still good.
4. Confidence course	I loved the confidence course because it was really easy the whole way round the course and I really had fun.
5. Night Detectives	I enjoyed the night detectives because our group the TIGERS worked as a team and we WON!!! the riddle comp. I liked it also because Crighton scared me in the dark and that was cool. IT WAS THE BEST!!!!!!

                     Caving

We are all now heading to the rope cave. As we walk thru the smelly old wet cave I start to smell the damp smell of the cave including the insects that are in it like wetas and glow worms on the roof of the cave.

I go down the rope scared as anything & having Ms Hill directing me down. “oh” I feel a rock so I stand on it and I look down and its the bottom of the whole. “Yahh” its the bottom of the whole so we keep moving. And as I look up to see a weta my foot gets cold instantly and so I look down to see why “eww” my foot is in the wet soggy mud and it starts to sink down. I try to pull it up but no luck yet so I try harder and it comes out all covered in gooey mud. “Oh”!!!!! we have reached the end of the Smelly cave and now we have to  go back to camp :-(. “Woah” it’s pitch black now  and we can't see anything  out here but luckily we have  torches so  now we  can see:-). Are we going the right way I wonder because we all can't see the vans yet. “Woah look at the vans I say to Richard behind me the lights on the vans are glowing in the dark and it looks like a monster shape. We start to hop into our vans in the pitch black cold night we finally start to drive off heading back to camp. We get to camp before you know it and all go have toasty warm  showers. After our showers we have free play until  tea is ready. After tea we go to bed.

   

My Day 1 At Camp / Night Detectives

                               Night Detectives

Day one.

Tonight is our first night at Camp Kaitawa and we are going to do a night detective challenge.

Yay!!!!!! we finally arrive at the night detective challenge we all get out of our vans and head to  the bush scared as anything. We start to go into the bush near Michael's grave.The first word we see is the word Michael...... and so we keep going and then it says Noonan welcomes you to Camp Kaitawa I may return.... and as soon as Crighton saw the word return he ran back towards me and said “nah  I’m getting out of here and so I pushed him forward so he kept going. After that we saw another word and it said on a full moon night...... Have fun. And now its over we have to walk back to camp on the side of the road ‘Wow that was fun” Crighton said to our whole team.

Rules for camp keets

      Indoors and outdoors

1. never litter in the buildings  or outside.
2. no running
3. never go into the pool unless you ask
4. no spilling the water or you clean it up
5. no going to bed below 10’ o clock

    In the mountains

1. always keep in the boundaries
2. never climb the mountains with no adult or no gear
3. always wear shoes

           the kitchen

1. no eating the veggies but you can have the lollies
2. no cooking without an adult or you will get burnt

         the cabins

1. no music in the beds
2. only one pillow each
3. you can have water but try not
4. to spill it.
5. no bed wetting or its your responsibility

1. you can eat all the lollies only
2. with an adult.
3. keep away from the volcano

step 3. Then drive  sw again to the first bridge just after

step 4. After you  cross the first bridge you then go nw to the second

bridge and cross it. At D6 on the map.

step 5. Then walk w to the fish's mouth and you've  now found

Mr M. At B6 on the map.
