My Mathletics Refection

Reflection for Mathletics

Something I was pleased with was how My Mathletics design went because it was really fun making my own design and It was a little challenging because I didn't know what to do but then I got it. And now it looks great.

I really enjoyed learning how to do the design that I did

because I have never done that design before and it was really fun to learn it but it was easy and I wanted something hard but thats ok because it was fun!                  

Something I found hard was finding the center point because I forgot how to get it but Mr M showed us how to do it and the other part that was hard was trying to get the lines straight without mucking because whenever I did it the ruler would move so that was hard.

Something that made me think was what design I would do for my poster and I was a bit confused at first so that really made me think.

                 

Something I want to get better at is doing cooler designs and getting better at finding the center point.

         

(What can I do about it?) Practice and practice!

At the moment we are all doing calendars for next year, the way we did it was by collating it and some people drew them self on dots. I hope you like it :-)

The Life Jackets ($1,000 )

                                                             
 Here is the $1,000 that I spent on life jackets for the school.
On the 1st  of April 2012 Last year I won an iPad 4 in a competition from the warehouse and $1000 dollars for the school. Things like that. So when I collected it I had to go to the Warehouse and collect it from there and when I walked in with my family I had to wait for a man that was going to dress up in a Harold the giraffe suit. I chose to spend it on life jackets because the school keeps asking for them when we go out of school going to camp or something. I hope you like it.

Famous Sporting Icon Day

Today we all had sporting icon day and most of us dressed up as a famous sporting icon. Here is a photo of me in my costume oh by the way I went as Sam Rapaura he is a Warriors rugby league player. I chose to be Sam because my steep dad likes him.  I hope you like it :-)

The Taj Mahal

   Here is My Taj Mahal Writing that we have all been working on I hope you like it.    
       
   The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a fantastic building in India ( Agra )  and it took 22 years to build and 20,000 men to build it they built it in the 17th century ( 1600s ). Your not aloud to drive through the gates because they want to keep the place looking beautiful so now the King and queen are laying together in the Taj Mahal. the Queens name is Mumtaz Mahal and the Kings name is Shah Jahan. the king and Queen were happily living together until the Queen died during birth of a newborn. From then on the king was very heartbroken to see his beautiful Queen die and so he got 20,000 men to build him the Taj Mahal so when  22 years of building went past The king had his wife buried under the ground in the Taj Mahal. Then a few years latter the king died and then He got buried under the ground next to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. In the Taj Mahal Grounds there is a symmetry.
